Nuuday
A Multi Brand Music Service
Nuuday owns multiple Telco/Streaming brands. YouSee and Telmore both offer a Music streaming service with 450.000 active users combined. That makes it the second largest Music App In Denmark. Because of old tech with limitations and an outdated UI, we started to build the Apps from the ground up. Also we build a design system in Figma and code to add flexibility for future brands added to the platform.
iOS & Android Apps
The design is very similar on both platforms, but as we were building native apps, we decided to use native elements for sorting, navigation, context menus, gestures etc. During usability tests, users found the new Apps to be more simple, easier to read and navigate. We also received positive feedback, on our decision to offer a light/dark mode option.

WatchOS App
Being in a competitive market we needed to match our competitors in terms of features. We listened to our users, and analyzed customer feedback monthly. Based on the feedback from customers, we decided to build an Apple Watch Remote app for our Music App. The App is currently not a stand alone solution, so you still need to be connected to your iPhone. If your phone is nearby, you can easily navigate and control the music directly from your watch.

Atomic Design System
As a whitelabel product, it has to be easy to add a new brand or edit an existing one. When building the Design System, Figma’s Variants feature became really useful. All components are based on a base component. With a simple click we can switch between the two brands, light/dark mode, iOS or Android.

Web Player
To make sure our users have a consistent experience across devices, we built a brand new web player that shares the same design language. Similar to the other new products, we spent a lot of time understanding the problems with the old web player. It was imperative for us to make sure that the new Web player will cover all the needs our users have. The new web player offers a brand new queue logic, new sorting options, Dark mode and so much more.
